What is the CEFR? The European Framework of Reference for Languages is a tool developed by the Council of Europe to describe the language skills of individuals in Europe. It establishes language levels in six areas of linguistic competence: - Oral comprehension. - Written comprehension. - Oral expression. - Written expression. - Oral interaction between two people (at least). - Mediation (including translation and interpreting).

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • According to the CEFR global scale, at the end of the course, an experienced A1 level user should :
    - Understand and use colloquial and everyday expressions, as well as very detailed statements.
    that aim to satisfy concrete needs
    - Introduce yourself or someone else and ask them questions about themselves - for example, where they live, who they know, what they own...
    - Answer the same type of questions.
    - Communicate simply if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is cooperative.
    - Be able to describe your background and immediate environment in simple terms, and talk about subjects that correspond to your immediate needs.

COURSE CONTENT

A1 level

Language skills :

- Using subject pronouns
- Use the verbs "to be" and "to have" in the present tense
- Use group 1 verbs in the present tense
- Using numbers and figures

- Use the masculine and feminine forms of nouns and adjectives
- Use a few irregular verbs in the present tense (do, go, take, understand, put, leave),
come, see) and semi-auxiliary verbs in the present tense
- Use location prepositions
- Using the plural of nouns and adjectives
- Using definite articles
- Using indefinite articles
- Using possessive adjectives
- Using pronominal verbs in the present tense

Oral expression :

- Introduce yourself, someone else and get to know them
- Make an appointment (and confirm, cancel, bring forward, reschedule)
- Asking for and providing information about daily routines
- Ask for directions
- Exchanging simple information (e.g. prices, quantities, dates)

Level 2 Learning objectives :


According to the CEFR global scale Level A2 corresponds to an intermediate or everyday level at the end of the course.
At the end of the course, the learner will be able to :

- Understand expressions and very common vocabulary relating to themselves, their family and their world
(family, shopping, work, school, etc.),
- Understand simple, clear, short messages,
- Find predictable information in everyday documents, such as advertisements, brochures, etc.

- Communicate in simple, routine tasks, with a simple, direct exchange of information
on familiar subjects and activities, talk briefly in general, but still make phonetic errors,
- Can write short, simple notes and messages, and a very simple personal letter, such as
