EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Be able to demonstrate a good grasp of general theoretical knowledge: technology, types of machinery, regulations
traffic, operations.
Be able to assess the risks involved in using MEWPs.
Be able to carry out the operations involved in starting and finishing a shift, as well as the necessary checks.
Be able to drive and manoeuvre in compliance with safety rules.

PUBLIC CONCERNED

Anyone required to handle site machinery.

• Be over 18 years of age.

ASSESSMENT METHOD

Validation of skills during end-of-training assessment tests, with a written and oral test.
After the end-of-course tests, which must be carried out in line with the objectives set, a certificate is awarded.
Candidates will be issued with a training certificate.

- The driver's role and responsibilities.
- Regulations (French Labour Code, CNAM R482 recommendations).
- Conditions for obtaining and validity of the CACES® (10 years).

2️⃣ Equipment technology.
- The different types of mini-excavator
- Main components (engine, hydraulics, tracks, boom, dipperstick, bucket)
- Safety devices

3️⃣ Main risks.
- Reversal.
- Bumps and crushes.
- Buried networks (DT/DICT).
- Working close to third parties.
- Risks associated with slopes and unstable ground.

4️⃣ Machine operation.
- Daily checks (starting work).
- Reading the nameplate.
- Site signs and markings.
- Traffic and manoeuvring rules.

5️⃣ End of shift / maintenance.
- Safe parking.
- Anomaly report.
- Routine maintenance.

🚜 Practical part.

1️⃣ Getting started.
- Installation at the driver's station.
- Adjustments (seat, mirrors, controls).
- Safe starting and stopping.

2️⃣ Basic manoeuvres.
- Straight line and curved movements.
- Working in confined spaces.
- Precise rotation and positioning.

3️⃣ Practical work.
- Making a trench.
- Loading materials.
- Simple levelling.
- Use of accessories where applicable.

- Parking at the end of the shift.

TRAINING PERFORMANCE

As the current training programme is new, the results indicators will be
communicated after the first training session.
The results indicators and the success rate will be communicated at the end of the first year.
