- Be able to master general theoretical knowledge: technology, types of equipment, traffic rules, operation.
- Be able to assess the risks involved in using MEWPs.
- Be able to carry out the operations involved in starting and finishing a shift, as well as the necessary checks.
- Be able to drive and manoeuvre in compliance with safety rules.
PUBLIC CONCERNED
Anyone required to handle site machinery.

- You must be over 18.
- Pass a medical examination.

ASSESSMENT METHOD
Validation of skills during end-of-course assessment by means of a written and practical test. At the end of the end-of-course tests carried out in compliance with the objectives set, a training follow-up certificate will be issued to candidates.

- The driver's role and responsibilities.
- Regulations (French Labour Code - Recommendation R486 CNAM)
- Driving licence
- Validity of the CACES®: 5 years
2️⃣ MEWP Technology Cat. B
- Differences between articulated and telescopic platforms
- Types 1B (no overhead travel) and 3B (overhead travel possible)
- Main components: chassis, stabilisers, boom, basket, controls
- Energy sources (electric, thermal, hybrid)
- Safety devices (load limiter, tilt sensors, emergency stops)
3️⃣ Main risks
- Rollover (stability, slope, ground bearing capacity)
- Falls from height
- Striking/crushing against structure
- Proximity to power lines
- Effects of wind and weather conditions
4️⃣ Operation of MEWPs
- The right machine for the right job
- Reading the load plate and charts
- Daily checks
- Marking out and securing the work area
- Wearing PPE (harness with suitable lanyard compulsory depending on the situation)
5️⃣ End of shift / Maintenance
- Boom folding procedure
- Safe parking
- Reporting anomalies
- Routine maintenance
