EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
- Be able to master general theoretical knowledge: technology, types of equipment, traffic rules, operation.
- Be able to assess the risks involved in using MEWPs.
- Be able to carry out the operations involved in starting and finishing a shift, as well as the necessary checks.
- Be able to drive and manoeuvre in compliance with safety rules.
PUBLIC CONCERNED
Anyone required to handle site machinery.

ASSESSMENT METHOD
Validation of skills during end-of-training assessment tests, with a written and oral test.
After the end-of-course tests, which must be carried out in line with the objectives set, a certificate is awarded.
Candidates will be issued with a training certificate.

- Regulations (French Labour Code, R486 CNAM).
- Driving licence.
- Validity of the CACES®: 5 years.
2- MEWP technology.
- Different types of MEWP (Type 1A / 3A).
- Main components: chassis, scissors, platform, controls.
- Energy (electric, diesel).
- Safety devices (emergency stop, load limiter, inclinometer).
3- Main risks.
- Reversal.
- Fall from height.
- Striking/crushing.
- Electrical risk (proximity to overhead lines).
- Weather conditions.
4-Exploitation des PEMP.
- Reading the load plate.
- Matching the machine to the job.
- Daily checks.
- Marking out the work area.
- Wearing PPE (harness if required).
5- End of shift.
- Fallback procedure.
- Safe parking.
- Reporting anomalies.
